One last thing is you have to experiment with the mouse sensitivity to fit 
your control preferences.  I had to make it more sensitive for me to fly. 
It took some trial and error.  I setup a local server called the Proving 
ground to experiment with when I change settings, and in single player one

of the maps has a gun****p you can fly with a bot for the gunner.  Or if
you 
join a titan server with no players you can fly the aircraft.
