The biggest thing that drove me away was the "elastic band" effect of lag
and how bad it was, even with my cablemodem back then. I was frustrated
beyond playability.
Since then I've gone back to EQ, to DAOC and still miss AC quite a bit.
I
haven't hear enough good things about AC2 to be interested in buying it.
I
am however interested in reinstalling AC1 and buy DM and try it all out.
But before that I have a few questions for you all..
How well are the servers populated nowdays ? I used to play on leafcull
and
I wonder if my character is still there hehe. Are there still enogh
people
around to make things interesting?
What kinda new stuff have they added since the first year of AC? Back
then
the "subway" was the main gathering area for people and Ft Teth was
another
hot spot. They were playing around with "casino's" back then. They also
had certain "uber" keys that dropped randomly out there.
What kinda major changes have they made? Have they fixed the LAG issues?
Any replies would be welcome.. I'm really considering returning but dont
know if its worth it..
