Most times, sequels never do better than the original but when it comes
to Commander Keen, this sequel puts the original Keen series on the
shelf technology wise. This Commander keen set didn't make ID Software
popular overnight but it sure aided them at it. Check out the game at

P.S.: Even when Keen 5 was not shareware, unlike most Apogee games,
there was never an indication that it wasn't shareware. The only thing
they'd have to show was the door to Keen 6. Also, your mileage may vary
but Keen 5, despite its better graphics, audio, and creatures, turned
out to be a far shorter episode than the 4th one ! Even when playing it
on Hard skill level, the game turned out to be nowhere near the Hard
skill levels encountered in the 4th episode ! Anyway, give these two
episodes a play. You won't regret it.
