You can join in the PvP to take other towers or to sup****t your own Org
defending their towers. You just won't be able to access the benefits the
org gets from their control tower (same if they have an Alien City) and
you
won't be able to build your own towers.
However, Orgs were around a long time before Notum Wars turned up... They
provide a group of people you are joined with, you can ask them for advice
and help, it is somewhere to chat about problems and seeking advice
without
spamming the OOC channels.
They will help you by organising raids for Smugglers Den, Inner Sanctum
etc.
to get items for you. They will have a large base of items which are rare,
which will help you equip - and will be passed back into the org when you
don't need them again. You have a lot of benefits to being in an Org,
which
have nothing to do with Notum Wars or Alien Invasion
