Hi there, Rocky.
I've noticed your post, which, although somewhat helpful in some ways, is
not very well written.
To start, your topic is misleading. The topic indicates that you
have information on how to repair a personal computer once it locked up,
or frozen. However, your contents cover nothing of the sort, and discuss
what you should do before the lock up occurs, to save time after. There
is not even a mention on how to attempt preventing such an occurrence.
Please consider using more relevant topic lines in the future.
Furthermore, you have begun posting to this newsgroups without
properly introducing yourself. Although you may be trying to be helpful,
we do not know who you are, why you are doing this, and, as such, will
probably never go to websites you recommend, just because you have
recommended them. As a rule, this newsgroup acts like a community, and as
such you will need to gain its trust before we act on advice of yours. In
fact, your postings of these 'tips' are unwanted as a result, and are
considered unsolicited, or spam.
Next, the 'tips' you have suggested could have been expanded on,
by giving Real World examples of applications and specific situations to
help save your work often. For example: Gmail: Autosaves approx. 1 min,
after you pause in typing for approx 10-30 seconds
OpenOffice.Org: Hit Ctrl-S every 5 minutes, or set up the 'autosave'
feature to do this for you.
And finally, the URL you have submitted appears to be of a
suspicious nature, due to the lack of knowledge of your intentions. While
you may be trying to be helpful, We Don't Click Unknown Links.
Before I close, I just want to say one last thing: Go 'way,
spammer!

(oh, btw, when I hit the Followup in PAN, I had a triple sig. Glad I
caught that before sending ^_^ )
