Well, personally I think you're all nuts. :-)

Consider whether horses have enough mind to persist like that.  They 
aren't very bright animals; less than dogs, cats, or pigs for example.

(Incidentally, elephant ghosts make even more sense.  It seems that they 
would be capable of understanding the concept, as they are (probably) 
able to link the bones of their dead to the living individual, and they 
do grieve, and they are social animals.)

BTW, your sig is broken.  Sigs are supposed to start with dash dash 
space, or newsreaders can't recognise them to trim them off when 
quoting.  Just two dashes won't work usually.
