Uh..... What? I live a long way from you, and the only crazy weather
we've been having is crazy warm.....
BTW, for those wondering, when our cold snap ended, it inded in 3 hours,
when the temperature rose from -34C to -2C (-29F to 28F), a change of
32C (58F)..... For the past 3 days, it was +6 (43F) in February.....

Ya, that could work. We've got a similar device in our trucks. It's to
measure idle time (we're supposed to keep the trucks off when not in use
-- ideally 10% idle time, company-wide). It's also to spy on us (GPS
system, already used to track someone going to his GF's place rather
than working). These are hooked up to battery power, not ignition
power, the way they should be.
Long story short, I shorted mine out (completely by accident, but now
that I know how, if they fix it, I'll do it on purpose next time). They
still haven't fixed it. And it doesn't even show up on their re****ts as
"NOT RE****TING", it just doesn't show up at all.....

Other than idiot I saw today. Driving a truck, tried to race a train.
Lost. I don't know why he didn't stop, but it took him so long to get
out of his truck afterwards (totalled the trailer's bogeys and tore a
strip out of the side of the trailer, as well as completely removing a
set of duals) that I personally believe he was on his cell phone.
Myself, I got out to direct traffic while emergency crews were
responding (train stopped blocking the road until the investigation was
completed).
