Personally, I generally associate the word 'dragonet' with relatively 
small breeds of dragons, though it can apply to young dragons of any 
breed.

My advice: Teach them to want to learn. Wisdom, more often than not, 
comes from knowledge and experience. Knowledge is most effectively gained 
when a person wants to know.
