And, as you can see, I don't come with empty talons

Good to see an old friend still roosts here. It'll take a while to
catch up to all the news, especially since...

=2E..New nest was no problem. My consort flew ahead and checked for good
sites while he also proved the hunting grounds. Overall, I'm rather
pleased with the location. It's out of the way of major territorial
battles between lesser creatures and a great place to raise little
ones...
=2E..I'm still not sure whether to call them chicks or cubs. Chubs?
Nahh!! Has negative implications. <ruffles feathers in disgust>
The difficulty was in finding my way back here. The migragtion to the
new nest site was particularly long (three-days' drive in mundane
life) and I was quite disoriented after the fact. After several
months' search, I found a route that would bring me back here, but the
final passage had a cave-in shortly before I passed through (news
server doesn't list alt.fan.dragons among their groups). It became
necessary to scout another route. Frustrating.

Were you there, Vincent?? I didn't see! You shouldn't have to hide as
a rock, you know...<offers particularly tasty cookies as apology>

Thank you, friend...and who says that dragons aren't chivalrous?!
After all your kind is responsible for teaching knights the "old
code", no? Pity that some mere humans have poor ways of showing
gratitude.

And greetings to you, too..Hopefully, you won't be Unknown for long!
<preens a bit to remove last traces of travel dust> I am going to
catch up on the news. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy my gifts. Thanks for
the warm reception!
