Well, I had another dream of my TF, another one that is stuck in my
memory. This one was LONG for me, as I slept for a good 12 hours, and
as far as I can tell, I dreamed through the whole time.
It seems that the dream seemed to have a consistant timeflow throughout
it, approx. one month per hour. And, it was a whole day-to-day type of
thing, and I can remember pretty much every single day, except for the
days where I did nothing but sleep all day long.
Alright, it seems that while I was concious, my TF's secondary
conciousness decided that it needed to retrain itself, so it signed up
for pretty much the equivilant of Buddhist meditation places. (term
slips my mind ATM) It gets there, and for some reason, there is some
kind of magical or out-of-phase dimension or whatever, and that
conciousness dissapears. Leaving my TF in a comatose state, until I
fall asleep here, and am transferred there.
I awaken, and learn that I am stuck with the most feared student as my
'partner'. My sparring, teaching, and ultimately, the partner who I
must challenge to succeed there. This is the top student, and she's
been at this place for going on 10 years. I'm thinking, great, not only
am I a week behind, but I'm almost a decade behind my opponent.
I meet her, and of course the first thing she says is that I am not
going to last long, and I might as well leave before I get embarrased,
especially since I only have a pitiful human mind. That gets my fire
flared up, and I tell her in such force that surprises this hardened
student into speechlessness that I signed up for this place for a
reason, that I wasn't going to let anyone, no matter how far ahead of me
tell me what I can and cannot do, and that if the fact I have a human
mind will be a disadvantage, well, I was certantly going to learn how to
overcome that. I turn around, and storm off, leaving her stunned and
speechless. Oh, by the way, her name is (as well as I can translate it
into human phoenetics) Salimorv.
As I am leaving, I meet another dragon, who I learn is one of the
'Masters' of the place. They are the ones in charge, the ones who do
the real teaching, coaching, supporting, management, etc. of the place.
He takes me aside and tells me that he is surprised that a) I am of
mostly a human mindset because of my remembered lifetime; b) that a
human would stand up to a dragon so forcefully, like an equal (humans
were noted as untrustworty, stupid, and unreasonable in their stories);
and c) that I was able to cause one of their best students, who had been
trained to not be caught offguard by anything in only my first real day
there. I started to apologize, but he stopped me quickly, telling me
that I showed real promise, and that it may very well be a good thing
that I ended up being paired with Salimorv. He then warned me that she
did not take that well, and I probably just made an enemy out of her.
I thought to myself, if she's my enemy, and she's going to be angry
with me, that probably means that she'll be somewhat careless, and allow
me to see some of her weak points. But since she's been trained to not
show her weak points, it would most likely be her strong points made to
appear as her weak points.
So, I asked him to show me around. I learned the location of all the
facilities, the 'mess hall' (for lack of a better term), the lairs (
which has a common entry room for each paired dragons, which splits to
sublairs to help keep territorial fights down). Each sublair had a
section for sleeping, a section for their horde (with security features,
yay! buttons to push!), and a room called the Ekdimaris Sikdjarl. I
prefer to call it the Imagination Room, because, from what I understand
from the Master, it is actually an entry to a slightly out-of-phase
dimension, and as such, those with very creative minds can manipulate
the contents. This makes it useful for reviewing fighting methods, as
one can create temporary sparring partners to review lessons. It can
also be used for various things, the amount of complexity was limited by
the capabilities of the mind of the dragon that was controlling it. I
learned that objects could last for a short time outside of the room,
before they returned to the dimensional phase that they truly existed
in. They would be ghostlike images, and be controllable only by their
creator until they dissappeared.
My fist question on this was, "Why can't they just be imagined to be in
this dimensional phase?"
This Master was caught off guard, as (i assumed) he had never been
asked this question before. "To my knowledge, noone has ever attempted
this. You won't be denied the ability to attempt this, but if you
succeed, let myself or the other Masters know. Try not to let anyone
else know of how to work this, as we don't want weapons to become
commonplace, alright?" was his reply.
So, with him still around, I decided to do a little (big) test. I
imagined a doorframe. Then, I imagined the door itself. Next, I
imagined that half of the door's depth was in my room, next to the
normal entry way into the Ekdimaris Sikdjarl. I asked the Master to
step out, and check to see if he could see anything. He replied that he
could, but it appeared to be dissapearing soon. Then, I put my theory
into action: I imagined that the doorway was wholly in my current
dimension. I heard a slight surprised roar from the Master, as I opened
the new door, and stepped thtough it into my room. I jokingly asked if
"renovations were allowed in the lairs", and then was surprised myself
as three more Masters came running into my lair, and each came to a
halt. I was somewhat afraid I had gotten myself into trouble this time.
After I explained what I had done to these other Masters, I found
myself somewhat tired. So, I decided to 'clean up' the Ekdimaris
Sikdjarl, and have a nap. So, I went inside the imagination room, and
imagined the door didn't exist anymore. I brought a stone with me, and,
when the door was gone, imagined the stone didn't exist, but it still
did. So, I assume, that means that once I imagine an item to be real, I
can unimagine it, but I can't make already existing objects nonesistant.
I nap.
I sleep longer than anticipated, and wake to the next day, first
lessons. Great. Salimorv's probably been waiting for me. I learned a
bunch of interesting (to me) stuff, it was history class, and noone else
seemed interested. Heh. I learned plenty about the place I was in,
some of the 'legends' about humans, and disputed some of the theories
about what state they were in. (Yes, still warring; no, not quite so
much now; surprisingly, pretty advanced in terms of technology, etc)
At the meal called Kjornd, or as us humans know it, Lunch, I finished
my meal quickly, and decided to check out the outdoor running track and
such. I was quickly stopped by Salimorv and her group of followers, who
were spending their Kjornd near the exit. Great. Just great. So, I
remember about my Ekdimaris Sikdjarl, and get an idea. I walk off,
acting all dissapointed, and ask one of the Masters to come with me to
test another door out. I created the door, same as before, and, once it
was brought into that dimension, imagined that I would be the only one
able to see it, and pass through it. It took a couple of tries, as the
first time it was viewable, and passible by the Master, but not myself,
and the second time, it was invisible, but we both could pass through
it. After some trial and error, I was able to create a door that would
allow me to 'sneak out' past Salimov. I put it into action. I imagined
the half door to lead outside, and also imagined a lock and key, just to
be on the safe side, and made it look like one of the "staff-only" doors
incase a dragon other than myself could see it :)
I go outside, and knock on the door that Salimov & co are on the other
side of, and then duck back into my Imagination room. watch as they go
out, don't see me, then split up. I then ran through the halls, to the
regular exit, and went out it, to face a very upset looking Salimov. I
played innocent, and didn't let on that I knew anything as to what
happened. So, she gets really upset, and I play innocent so well, her
friends say that there's no way I know anything. She storms off into
the building, and I am free to explore outside. I hear the door lock
behind them, so I was glad I hadn't yet 'deleted' my door :)
(/me notes that he keeps interchanging the term used in the dream with
the English translation. It all depends on how involved I am with
remembering, if I'm trying to convey the english side more clearly, I
use the English word(s), and if I'm in 'raw remembering' mode, I use the
other language.)
Anyways, so I familiarize myself a bit with the outdoor tracks and such,
and note, with a bit of confusion on my part, that one of the tracks
starts at the top of a hill, has loops, and you collect items. Now, not
like any STH track I've seen, but the track did attract my attention. I
entered my Ekdimaris Sikdjarl, and then deleted the door, lest someone
come snooping and accidentally find it...
Then, I went back to 'class, and learned more about the place and about
my 'history'. After that, I went back to my lair, and slept.
Wow. that's a lot of stuff, and I had been planning to do a short
overview over the whole dream, but there's just so much to explain!
Ahh, well, what to do about it. I started typing this at about 9pm my
time, and am now wrapping it up 3 hrs later, at midnight. I've got a
headache, and, well, I can't believe how much I've edited away, and
sounded out, and rewrote... Stuff that I remembered out of
chronological order, and had to re-integrate to make sense...
Well, hopefully that will keep you busy until I can get enough time to
write up what happened next. I'm not sure how to format it, whether in
this day-by-day format, or month, or just pinpointing individual events,
then going into them in depth. I also don't know how long I have until
my personal memory fades on this, which is also partly why I'm typing it
up, to help me remember it further.
Well, I'm turning in. There's school tomorrow, which will be when I
send this out. Can't wait to hear some of the responses.
