I agree though, it should have been free, there was nothing nessessary in
it.

Nothing wrong with that either.  I however belong to a group that makes
the 
college pay for all our books, so we've had them on pre-order for two
months 
now.

As for Star Wars, they used it as sort of a testing ground for what they
were 
doing with 4E.  SW was more complete, but the same ideas that happened in
SW 
were feed to the 4E team and vice versa.  Not that the systems are
identical, 
but that they were trying to acheive the same end.

Book of Nine Swords ideas were actually cast of 4E ideas.  Ones that
didn't 
fit with what they wanted 4E to be (the card aspect), so they made them
fit 
with 3.5
