We had a Marshall who, at level 10, had a +63 to Diplomacy checks. So,
it's not hard at all.

I looked at it today, but it's something they should be giving out free
instead of selling -- it would make more sense to offer it free to get
players interested. Selling it like they are now makes it look like 4e
is exactly what it seems to be -- a money grabber.

My opinion is that I'll take a look at it (my DM is the official Wizards
of the Coast Rep for Calgary, so he'll have to get the books to promote
the system -- he's already got lots of promo material for it) but I most
likely won't change. I haven't even looked at the new Star Wars Saga
Edition (another money-grabber, IMO) which I hear 4e is going to look
like. I've got about $2000 invested in various d20 v3.5 books, if not
more, and about $2500 invested in d20 v3.0 books. Plus, all the things
that are compatible with 3.0 and 3.5 but won't work at all with 4e.
So, unless it's something so great that it completely blows my mind,
I'll stay with my 3.5. And I'm not holding my breath for that, since
the Book of Nine Swords, which was supposed to be their first 3.5/4e
cross-compatible reference book didn't do anything at all for me. I
didn't even pick it up for 3.5.....
