Not really a dream, per se, as I'm usually awake (and driving (bad
dwaggie!!)) when I see it. It seems as real as the other dreams I've
had, though, but not really like it's a prophetic dream, almost like a
past memory superimposed on present geographical knowledge. And it's
really short, but I've been seeing it a lot.
It starts with myself, in my TrueForm, and another creature. The other
creature flies as well, and I'm not sure where the name came from, as it
didn't seem to be a part of the dream the first few times, but now that
I've named it, the name always sticks when I have the dream again. I
call the creature "Ragnar". Ragnar doesn't really have a colour, nor a
really identifiable shape. I was going to say he was blue, but just
when I thought "blue" the image I had in my mind suddenly turned red, so
I haven't got a clue.
Anyway, we're in the middle of a fight. Not a tooth and nail, claw-out-
your-opponents-throat fight, but more like play fighting. It seems that
we've done this before, and are just playing a game. We're doing some
damage to the city we're in (which I don't recognize, but it seems
pretty modern).
After a short while into the dream (I don't even know how long we've
been fighting at this point, but the dream always starts in the middle),
police show up and tell us to stop fighting. I fly down to talk to
them, but Ragnar keeps playing and doing damage.
I ask the police if they really want me to stop fighting, they say that
they do. I then tell them that this is a game that Ragnar and I play,
where every hundred years, we pick a place (city, world, dimension,
whatever, I don't know) and fight over it. The winner gets to stay
there looking after the world as they see fit, while the loser has to
leave, or at least not interfere. A hundred years later, we pick a new
place and start over.
I ask them if they are representatives of the place and want me to stop.
They say they are and they do. I then call Ragnar down to me. I tell
Ragnar and the police that, because they asked me to stop, and I respect
them and their laws, I have to cease the fight, and that Ragnar has won.
At this point, the daydream usually ends, but sometimes I get a flash
into the future. I'm being asked to go out and stop Ragnar, but I tell
them that I agreed not to interfere because they told me to stop. I
can't say for sure, but it seems that Ragnar has gone on to make a mess
of things, by really doing damage.
And at this point, it always ends if it hasn't ended earlier.....
I'm not really troubled by this dream, it's just persistent. It could
be important, or it could just be my mind beginning to snap under
pressure and go on. I did say before that my god contacts me in dreams,
but always at night when I'm asleep. I've never before made the
distinction in this as it's never before been necessary..... But I am
troubled by the fact that I could seriously hurt or kill someone if I'm
daydreaming while driving 100km/h in a 75-ton truck..... And I don't
choose to start or stop this dream, it happens when it wants, and goes
on for as long as it chooses.....
I suppose it could be Ragnar trying to contact me to play another game,
but if so, he must be a lot closer than my god is, as I don't believe
he's as powerful as my god..... Or, it could be a premonition I'm
seeing, of the world he's chosen (this world) and my fear that, without
my trueform, I'll fail (the police image might just be my way of
softening the blow to myself, or attempting to lie to him in
response)..... But this last thought just occured to me, so it might
just be me trying to overthink things.....
