Returning After A Few Years

*In the skies above Alfandria, a spherical distortion shimmers in the 
air before dissolving to reveal a small island supported in midair by 
humming antigravity engines.  A small black and indigo dragon strolls 
out of the sole building on the island, an elaborate castle-like 
structure, and surveys the landscape.  He spies a few familiar faces, 
but mostly arrivals that have come here since the last time he visited.*

Hello, all.  I'm not sure anyone still remembers me, but I was once a 
regular here who left because of a combination of school's demands on my 
time and the world's worst newsgroup server.  Now that neither of those 
are a problem anymore, I thought I'd drop by again.
