Just a quick note, I'm referring to Dragons of Summer Flame, which is 
unrelated to the Lost Chronicles trilogy.

But to answer your question, the first volume takes place immediately 
after Dragons of Autumn Twilight and deals with how the Heroes got the 
Hammer of Kharas.

I haven't read the second volume yet (I like paperback), but I know it 
deals with Kitiara and may also take place between 1 and 2 of the 
Chronicles.
