I'll put in a vote for more ascending mortals and more fallen gods. C'mon!

It's what Dragonlance is all about! Let's start with some dragon gods, 
please. And let's have some proper dragon wars, the ones where it's
dragons 
vs elves or dragons vs humans, as opposed to humans vs humans (with dragon

mounts). But, yeah, seriously, let's have adventurers getting powerful, 
Raistlin-style, dividing the continent into personal baronies, and then 
climbing over each other for god-spots.

Right?

Forget the Dome and the Abyss, make the gods have fastnesses on Krynn 
proper (like Chemosh's Castle on the shore of the Blood Sea, or Gilean's 
little spot also known as the Old City of Palanthas). Make them resume 
their ancient, mythological form (Winged Griffon, Dragon Turtle, etc.) for

the practical reason of defending themselves. Then, make them fight!
