Here, you say that it is not as easy as the 5th Age is gone, implying
that what is now is still the 5th Age. I don't know much about it, but
at the end of the post I'm replying to now, you seem very bitter that
most of the features are gone. You seem to

Actually, I do seem to recall that Sylvan Veil and Rise of the Titans
were published in a series, and both of them had concepts/ideas from
W&H and were intended as set-up for WoS. The title of the series could
even reflect this, Battle Lines.

I think you misread Matthew there. This wasn't a discussions about
what features were good or not, but what could be characterized as 5A
elements and not. The concept of the Titans appeared as a concept by
Hickman as part of the WoS series, and as such it is part of the
changes made by W&H/WoS rather than a part of the pre-WoS 5A.

There is one question I have asked you, and other 5A fans, but never
have gotten an answer to: You seem bitter and angry about the fate of
the 5th Age, and that most of the elements were removed. In fact you
seem to imply that it is morally wrong. Yet, the 5A box destroyed very
much of Krynn that remained even after DoSF: The entire populations
(and memories) of Enstar and Nostar, the area north of Icewall, the
entire Goodlund Peninsula and the lands beyond, much of Solamnia and
surroundings, the land around New Sea, the Tower of Palanthas, most of
Ansalon's dragons, the AD&D system, to name a few.

I agree that WoS wasn't uniting the fan base, nothing could have. In
fact, like I have said, its attempt to do so was one of its faults. If
so many features as Matthew mentioned are gone, perhaps they actually
saw the error of that.

Here's the simple question you really should answer:

What is there, beyond your personal preferences, that makes the 4A
elements removed by the 5A OK, while 5A elements removed by WoS just
wrong, immoral?

(Especially considering that without WoS, thre would've been no more
DL due to lack of sales.)

And one follow-up comment: As bitter as you seem about the demise of
5A, you really should understand the bitterness 4A fans felt about the
5A.
