Tell you what. You should probably read the first of the DoaNA Trilogy. It
really sets up the Fifth Age, although it also introduces some of Jean
Rabe's own weirdness that doesn't reflect the most im****tant themes of the
Fifth Age. But give it a try and if you like it, read the other two.
But you should read some of the other, less crappy Fifth Age books. Just
reading the core is okay up till DoSF (although you should definitely at
some point read LORD TOEDE and THE KINGPRIEST TRILOGY), but in the Fifth
Age, it just won't do. Here is my recommendation:
1. Dragons of Summer Flame CHRONICLES, VOLUME 4
2. The Fifth Age Comic Book

3. The Dawning of a New Age DRAGONS OF A NEW AGE, VOLUME 1
4. The Doom Brigade KANG'S REGIMENT, VOLUME 1
5. "There Is Another Shore"
Dragons of Chaos
6. Spirit of the Wind BRIDGES OF TIME, VOLUME 1
7. The Odyssey of Gilthanas
8. Dragons of a Fallen Sun WAR OF SOULS, VOLUME 1
9. Draconian Measures KANG'S REGIMENT, VOLUME 2
10. Dragons of a Lost Star WAR OF SOULS, VOLUME 2
11. Dragons of a Vanished Moon WAR OF SOULS, VOLUME 3
Okay? Enjoy!
