I suppose, in a world where magic is the underlying law and not science,
genetics wouldn't be applicable. And, yes, it is in fact an example of a
LEGEND within Dragonlance (and so has elements of truth and of untruth).

And here is an example of MYTHOLOGY within Dragonlance. Some versions of
the myth are more true than others. It's pretty commonly accepted, though,
that the ogres were Takhisis's particular version of mortal spirits, and
were thus made both beautiful and to be slaves to evil. Eventually, their
evil caused their downfall from beauty and intelligence. Regards.
