Yes that is definitely evil. However it is quite understandable for
me.
Caramon *take* away everything from him. Caramon get health, friends,
girls.
In Soulforge, Raistlin catches the first girl who he falls in love
with, and who flirts with him, sleeping with Caramon. I really feel
the fury and hatred of him when reading that part of the book.
Ok, he can't get a girl, so he devoted to magic. Then the Caramon
illusion get the magic that he work hard to get.
At the end, he got nothing.....
I also remember reading that the illusion also taunt him saying that
he is too weak....etc.
Even in War of the Twin I remember Caramon once said that he love
Crysania and told her to leave Raistlin. Imagine how Raistlin look
when he saw them. :)
