I fully agree with you on that point. Much of the Villains series
(except Toede) should never have been written. Same goes for a whole
bunch in the Warriors, Meetings (though Kindred Spirits was pretty
good), even some of the Preludes.

Nice. Gotta love school libraries - when they bring in good books,
better believe the kids'll come. And I do have similar objections to WoS
and DoaNa (quality not great, WAY too much retconning - I mean Skye
being non-krynnish? Where does that come from?)
All in all, DL has plenty of good books, and plenty of bad. My thrust
was that there isn't necessarily a correlation between "core"/"good" and
"non-core"/"waste of time"
