I read annoted Chronicles and thought it was great. Haven't done so with
Legends, but it looks like a lot of the fans really didn't like the notes
added
to that, particulary those from Hickman.
I may be in the minority, but I enjoyed the Jean Rabe 5th Age trilogy. I'd
get
2nd Generation, DoSF and then read her three if I were you. At least try
one of
them and then decide whether to continue on.
