New books do come out, most of them are set in the era after War of
Souls. I was disappointed with it, and also in part with its outcome,
so I dont read those books.
One book I will pick out this summer, however, is the first book in the
"Lost Chronicles" trilogy, Dragons of the Dwarven Depths. Its release
date is July 11th, and it is set immediately after Dragons of Autumn
Twilight, telling the story that Weis and Hickman had to cut when
originaly DoAT was written to keep it from becoming too long. Whether
the authors manage to recapture the magic that they IMO seemed to have
lost in War of Souls, remains to be seen, however. But I must say that
I read a sample chapter (included in a new Weis post-WoS Dragonlance
bok, Amber and Iron), which, though much a recap of what we already
knew, featured a conversation between Tas and Raistlin that really put
in me in a nostalgic "Chronicles-mode". So I am somewhat hopeful,
despite the horrible title :)
