Today I got my copy of "Amber and Iron" and, I admit, I immediately
jumped to the end of the book to read the sample chapter from DoDD
(*ahem*). Well, there's no real incredible revelation, so I suppose no
spoiler space is needed, but anyway...
Spoiler (for those who don't want to know *anything at all* about the
first chapter of the book before it gets out).
Okay. The title of the chapter is, in the tradition of the Chronicles
and DoSF, made of single sentences juxtaposed highlighting the main
subjects of the chapter. Unlike Chronicles and like DoSF, no B&W
drawing between the title and the chapter. Pity, I really had hoped for
it :(
The first chapter starts 1-2 minutes after the end of DoAT. It's set
just after the wedding of Riverwind and Goldmoon, the whole scene is
seen from the POV of Raistlin (another thing I didn't like that much - I
had really hoped to see Tanis' POV, but I hope that the focalization
will shift during the book). Tas and Caramon make an appearance, and the
feather that fell on Tas on the very end of DoAT is discussed. Not much
else.
Anyone wanting any more information?
