> So what elements would you want to develop?
My personal setting elements of choice (and one can see one or more of
these frequently crop up in my own RPG sessions):
* Gnomes - I would actually like to see them presented as a viable
player character race with credibility. It was eventually managed with
kender, so I don't see it as impossible for gnomes. On a related
point, I would like to see a better development of the concept of
"fantasy technology", as that lack is part of the problem.
* The Knights of Takhisis, circa Chaos War - Tracy and other authors
did a decent job of setting the Knights up, but I believe there is
still a fair amount of fle****ng out still possible. There's a few too
many unanswered questions for my tastes regarding organization and
such, and the Knights have always been one of the most fun adversaries
for me to use in my own games.
* The Chaos War - We do have a lot of snapshots of the war, and maybe
that's enough; but the amateur military historian in me would love to
see it all seamed together.
* Taladas has a world of untapped potential that is exciting to
consider (especially approaching Aurim in the same fa****on that Chris
Pierson finally developed Istar).
There are others, certainly, but those are probably my most significant
setting elements of choice (or, at least, the ones that I have actually
worked in the past on pulling together ideas and written bits for).
