Likely true, but that wouldn't plausibly result in a toxic lake. Quite
the contrary, considering Beryl and her influence on Qualinesti during
her reign, that sort of "influence" would result in a lake teaming with
life (or, at very least, algae). However, in general, that isn't what
we're talking about here (just to keep the discussion on topic), as we
aren't talking about something that formed as a result of Beryl's reign
as Dragon Overload; we are talking about something that formed as a
result of her death.

Possibly, but again only idlely speculative right now (I put it in the
same category as there being a character named Frank the Wanderer on
Krynn; hopefully there is not). We don't actually know that Beryl was
any more magically powerful then her contem****aries, despite her rather
egotistical perceptions on the matter. There is certainly nothing to
suggest any of her contem****aries considered her "great magical power"
anything more then a laughable delusion, and certainly not a credible
threat. And finally, no such phenomenon has developed in the locations
of Malys' and Khellandros' death sites (the two dragons commonly
accepted to be Beryl's prime rivals amoung the greatest of the Dragon
Overlords), to our current best knowledge. If such a story element can
exist, as has been speculated here, it has no basis in present
development (which was, again, the initial focus of this subject).
I know, I know. I'm no fun. But when have I been in the last ten
years, in your experience? : )
