IS THIS A ROCK'N'ROLL OF THE CENTURY?=20
Mon Nov 28, 2005 14:32:24 ET
TORONTO, Canada (Altitude Site Inc) - Andrew is a singer =
songwriter. He had created the new style of Rock music: "Hop Rok". It =
based on the mix of Hip-Hop and regular (not Rap) lyrics.
=20
Though Hip-Hop is often treated as relatively new style, it exists =
already more than 30 years. It was started by DJs using loops of existed =
Disco, Funk, Hard Rock and other riffs as the base for their Rap. Later =
the performers of Hip-Hop created their own music stylistic, which is =
pretty impressive. This is not accident that they are very popular now. =
Many of their "Beats", used as the fundament for the compositions, have =
their unique features, sounds mysterious and colored by "bluesy" (from =
"blue mood"), "detective movie" intonations. The creators of the Beats =
work usually with synthesizers.
Andrew uses guitars instead. When he was recording the track "Mama =
I Will Never Do A Crime" (released on March 8, 2005) he thought about =
reaching close sound, but he thought about several other things as well. =
So the artist was trying to create something new, but he was moved =
rather by the intuition, than by knowledge.
Several months had gone, and Andrew understood clearly what and =
how to mix, to get the desirable result. To some extend he made the back =
loop: after rappers developed their original stylistic, Andrew brought =
it back to Rock. So the name of the style Hop Rok is quite logical.
The track "Hop Rok" (recorded on November 1-5, 2005) itself is the =
Beat only. The base of it is Andrew's interpretation of the "That's All =
Right (Mama)" By Arthur Crudup, most known like the first brilliant =
Rock'n'Roll performed by Elvis Presley. Besides using Hip-Hop style, =
Andrew wrote the short, not too serious "promo" song Hop Rok, the lyrics =
of which is present on the track.
The Beat, as it supposed to be in Hip-Hop, sounds like complete =
instrumental composition. You can sing the words - and this will not =
spoil the thing. You will get another complete composition, and this =
time it will be a SONG!
